February 21 - English Premier League champions Manchester City have begun building the world's first soccer stadium in a metaverse with the help of Sony's virtual reality (VR) experts. City and Sony have signed a three-year partnership agreement and while the project is still in its early stages, a team of experts from the company has visited the Etihad Stadium, mapped the stadium digitally and developed a virtual reality version, according to an exclusive report by inews.co.uk.
